In 1990, my father took the four of us on an adventure most can only dream of, if they even dare to dream at all. It took careful planning, lots of guts, and faith in God to make it happen.
My dad found a 40 foot, hand-built Wharram catamaran in England. From there, we set sail, a small family of four, on the Voyage of a lifetime.

Being a foodie, I associate many stories with meals we ate while living on the boat, such as Baiona Beans,Hamberguesa in Portugal, Piri Piri Pizza, Christmas dinner in Tobago, Sting Ray in the Bahamas, and Hot Dog Stir Fry.
Our journey across the Atlantic had a profound affect on my life. It formed who I am today. Its influence seeps into my parenting as I try to teach my children lessons of life. It has been my heart’s desire to write my stories down before they retreat too far into the recesses of my brain for retrieval. This is my chance!
